Petition for the Impeachment and Removal of Donald J. Trump
To: The United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate
From: The Undersigned Citizens of the United States
Statement of Purpose
We, the undersigned, formally petition the U.S. House of Representatives to exercise its “sole Power of Impeachment” under Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution, and the U.S. Senate to conduct a trial to consider the removal of Donald J. Trump from the office of the Presidency.
Grounds for Impeachment
Under Article II, Section 4, a President may be removed for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” This petition urges Congress to investigate and draft Articles of Impeachment based on the following concerns:
- Abuse of Power: Allegations regarding the use of executive authority for personal or political gain rather than the national interest.
- Obstruction of Justice: Actions that may have impeded lawful investigations or subverted the rule of law.
- Violation of the Emoluments Clause: Concerns regarding financial interests that may conflict with the duties of the office.
- Failure to Faithfully Execute the Law: Actions that undermine the constitutional mandate to ensure the laws of the United States are followed.
The Request for Action
- House of Representatives: Immediately initiate an impeachment inquiry through the House Committee on the Judiciary to determine if sufficient grounds exist.
- Articles of Impeachment: Upon finding evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors, we demand the House pass Articles of Impeachment by a simple majority.
- The Senate: We call upon the Senate to fulfill its constitutional duty to hold a fair and transparent trial, presided over by the Chief Justice, to determine if the President should be convicted and removed from office.

By signing this petition, I affirm my support for the constitutional process of accountability to preserve the integrity of our democratic institutions.
Articles of Impeachment against Donald J. Trump
Articles of Impeachment against Donald J. Trump
The following articles are drafted based on recent events involving the use of federal force and international military operations.
Article I: Abuse of Power and Violation of International Sovereignty
The Kidnapping of a Foreign Head of State and Commercial Exploitation
Donald J. Trump, in his conduct as President of the United States, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office and to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, has abused the powers of the Presidency by directing “Operation Absolute Resolve.”
On January 3, 2026, President Trump directed U.S. military forces to conduct an unprovoked strike on Caracas, Venezuela, to abduct President Nicolás Maduro and bring him to the United States under the guise of “law enforcement.” This action constitutes an illegal act of war and a violation of the United Nations Charter, bypassing Congressional authorization for the use of military force.+1
Furthermore, President Trump utilized this military abduction to secure private and national commercial interests by:
- Declaring a national emergency to seize and control Venezuelan oil revenue in U.S. accounts.
- Negotiating directly with oil industry executives to invest $100 billion in Venezuelan infrastructure under “government protection.”
- Promising to use seized foreign resources to manipulate domestic energy prices for political gain.
In so doing, Donald J. Trump has subverted the rule of law, compromised national security, and committed the United States to a path of illegal international aggression for private and political benefit.
Article II: Failure to Faithfully Execute the Law and Deprivation of Rights
Lethal Use of Force by Federal Agents Against Civilians
Donald J. Trump has failed in his constitutional duty to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” by encouraging and overseeing an immigration enforcement policy that has resulted in the systemic use of excessive and lethal force.
Throughout late 2025 and early 2026, the administration’s “crackdown” on immigration has led to:
- The Killing of Renee Nicole Good: On January 7, 2026, a U.S. citizen and mother was shot and killed by an ICE officer in Minneapolis during a federal sweep.
- A Pattern of Lethal Violence: Since July 2025, federal agents under the President’s direction have been involved in at least 16 shootings, resulting in the deaths of multiple individuals and numerous injuries.
- Condoning Misconduct: Rather than calling for transparency or reform, the President and his administration have characterized victims as “terrorists” and blocked local law enforcement’s access to evidence, thereby obstructing justice and fostering a culture of impunity within federal agencies.
By these actions, Donald J. Trump has demonstrated a reckless disregard for the civil liberties of persons within the United States and has authorized a regime of federal enforcement that operates outside the bounds of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.
Resolution
Wherefore, Donald J. Trump, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.
Summary of Legal Precedents for Impeachment
The proposed Articles of Impeachment rely on the following constitutional and statutory pillars:
1. The War Powers Resolution of 1973
This federal law (50 U.S.C. §§ 1541–1548) explicitly restricts the President’s power to commit U.S. forces to hostilities.
- Congressional Authorization: Section 2(c) mandates that military action requires a declaration of war, specific statutory authorization, or a national emergency involving an attack on the U.S.
- Abduction of a Foreign Head of State: Without an imminent threat or congressional approval, the use of military force to seize a foreign leader (as in the Venezuela incident) constitutes a direct violation of this Act and Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.
2. High Crimes and Misdemeanors (Abuse of Power)
Impeachment is the primary constitutional check against a President who uses federal power for personal or private gain.
- The Oil Industry Nexus: Precedent for “abuse of power” includes using government apparatus to benefit private commercial interests. Securing $100 billion in oil industry investments through military force falls under this category of “political crimes” against the state.
- Violation of the UN Charter: As a ratified treaty, the UN Charter is the “Supreme Law of the Land” under Article VI. Violating Article 2(4) regarding the territorial integrity of sovereign nations provides legal grounds for a “High Crime.”
3. Constitutional Amendments and Federal Accountability
The lethal use of force by federal agents (ICE) is governed by the Bill of Rights.
Failure to Faithfully Execute (Article II, Section 3): The President is required to ensure federal agencies operate within the law. Encouraging or shielding agents involved in civil rights violations (such as the shooting of Renee Good) is a breach of this constitutional mandate.
Fourth & Fifth Amendments: These protect all persons—including non-citizens—from “unreasonable seizures” and the deprivation of life without “due process of law.”
